Brief:
Riverside are a progressive rock band from Warsaw, Poland. They were founded in 2001 by friends Mariusz Duda, Piotr Grudzinski, Piotr Kozieradzki and Jacek Melnicki, who shared a love for progressive rock and heavy metal, although Duda, the main lyricist and composer of the band, was originally a fan of electronic, ambient, experimental music, like Radiohead, Massive Attack, Dead Can Dance, Tangerine Dream, Peter Gabriel, and later on, prog rock like Pink Floyd, Rush, Marillion, as well as thrash metal. Riverside can be described as a blend of atmospheric rock and metal elements, resulting in a sound similar to that of Porcupine Tree, Pain of Salvation, and Dream Theater.
The new material ID.Entity was recorded and mixed in two studios, The Boogie Town Studio in Otwock (with Pawel Marciniak) and in Serakos studio in Warsaw (with Magda and Robert Srzedniccy). The album was mastered by Robert Szydlo (who has worked with the band during live recordings) and produced by Duda himself.

Riverside delivers one of his best albums with ID.Entity which turns out to be a formidable string of songs as calm as melodic. Essential album for any prog metal fan!
