SOURCE – What should the fans expect of this new album Celebrity Therapist and how would you describe it to the fans that have not listened to it yet?
Carson Pace (Vocals) – I would say this is both the album that we’ve always wanted to make and the natural expansion from die on Mars
SOURCE – So could you explain what this album is about lyrically?
Carson Pace (Vocals) – This album is about loving those around you in spite of their political beliefs or proclivities, and the power that comes from forgiveness
SOURCE – With the state of the music business today, how do you determine your expectations for an album?
Carson Pace (Vocals) – Biggest album of all time. 10 from pitchfork and fantano. Most sales ever.
SOURCE – Nowadays in every album the person responsible for the sound production is strongly mentioned especially when he is a known one. How important do you think is the producer to the sound of a band?
Carson Pace (Vocals) – Depends on the producer. If a band does a record with Kurt ballou, it’s a Kurt ballou produced record, but I think the true art of production lies in seeing a band’s vision through.
SOURCE – Which is more important in music – being intentionally novel and innovative or being consistent?
Carson Pace (Vocals) – Depends on the band I think. You can be consistently innovate, but not for very long, so I guess I’d say what’s really important is being consistently yourself, and consistently giving a shit. You have to give a shit.
SOURCE – This day and age, so many people listen to the album without buying it, through streaming services, Spotify, and things like that. Everything’s different in how people consume it. What’s your opinion about it?
Carson Pace (Vocals) – I don’t really have the power to change any of that, so I guess I would say that I’m pretty indifferent. We’re trying to become a t-shirt business, and treating our merch drops like vinyl variants.
SOURCE – In Brazil there’s much fans listening your kind of music. What do you know about the Brazil?
Carson Pace (Vocals) – Next to nothing, all I know is that I want to go there and meet the people, play music for them. That goes for every country, but Brazil especially.
SOURCE – Is there anything else you have going on you would like to mention?
Carson Pace (Vocals) – I produce bands, I make beats, and I have a podcast coming out sometime in 2023! Check it out!
