SOURCE – Where do you think Exit Wounds stands in terms of your past releases?
Marco Aro (Vocals) – I’d say it really stands out in terms of evolving the sound of the band! Some say it’s back to the roots but infact it’s really a big leap forward.
SOURCE – Nowadays in every album the person responsible for the sound production is strongly mentioned especially when he is a known one. How important do you think is the producer to the sound of a band?
Marco Aro (Vocals) – It really helps to have a Producer who in familiar with the sound and general thought behind the band and it’s music,Tue is that guy!
SOURCE – Have you filmed any videos for this new CD?
Marco Aro (Vocals) – Yupp… two of them, one is for Cutting Teeth wich is a performance video and one for Eye of the Storm a live one.
SOURCE – The Sweden scene and sound are legendary. What is it like to be a part of such an intense and iconic genre?
Marco Aro (Vocals) – It’s a lot of fun, because almost everybody that you grew up with… and not just in Gothenburg… has a band that’s going quite well.
SOURCE – You’ve been around in the metal world and the music business for a long time. Tell us what your vibe is on the metal scene today as opposed to earlier The Haunted days.
Marco Aro (Vocals) – With a chance of sounding like an old grumpy man… I’d say, nowadays it’s all about fashion and image as opposed to raw talent… for the most part that is!
SOURCE – Is it ever hard to keep up the energy and creativity after so many years?
Marco Aro (Vocals) – No, not really… music is my life and passion… I never get tired of it.
SOURCE – Are you currently involved in any other projects besides The Haunted?
Marco Aro (Vocals) – I’m in a band called The Resistance with Jesper Strömblad… check us out… it’s raw power!
SOURCE – In Brazil there’s much fans listening your kind of music. What do you know about the Brazil?
Marco Aro (Vocals) – I know enough to really wanna go there!
SOURCE – Do you have any plans of a South America tour?
Marco Aro (Vocals) – We are currently looking at a few possibilities for the coming spring… we’ll just have to wait and see.
