SOURCE – Olá Philip! Como surgiu o convite para vocês participarem do Epic Metal Fest?
Philip Restemeier (Guitar) – We have played with Epica several times now since we first toured together in 2012. Of course we are happy to be on the bill for this awesome festival.
After our South American Tour we are looking forward to join Epica again in Canada for three more shows.
SOURCE – Em 2013 vocês já estiveram aqui no Brasil. Quais as lembranças e momentos marcantes daquela tour?
Philip Restemeier (Guitar) – It was great. The Brazilian crowd is fantastic. For me it is really special because I lived in Brazil for a year back in 2000/2001.
Back then a friend tought me an old Brazilian drinking song and I dared to sing it on stage in 2013. That was so much fun even though I didnt sing it 100% correct, I think. But lots of people sang along and offered to buy me beer afterwards! Muito legal!
SOURCE – Fire and Ashes foi lançado em julho de 2015. Há alguma previsão para o lançamento de um novo álbum?
Philip Restemeier (Guitar) – The new album Theatre of Dimensions will be out in January 2017! Of course we will give you some insight as soon as possible right now we are planning the video, maybe more than one video, so check back on our website or facebook!
SOURCE – Sacrificium foi o último álbum da banda. Como você avalia a aceitação do álbum?
Philip Restemeier (Guitar) – It is great that so many people loved I and that they gave such a warm welcome to Dianne and Steven! But even more important than the reception of the album was for us that we managed to simply get it done! It was a difficult period for the band with the line-up changes and releasing this album after a these complications was a great moment of feeling still alive.
SOURCE – Há algum previsão de registro em vídeo esta tour na America Latina?
Philip Restemeier (Guitar) – We have no plans for a live-dvd, but we will bring our own cameras for sure! Let’s see what we get to film!
SOURCE – Embora a tour pela America Latina seja extensa, vocês tocarão dia 15 e 16 de outubro em São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro, respectivamente. O que você poderia nos adiantar sobre o set-list dos shows?
Philip Restemeier (Guitar) – We are really excited to play some Sacrificium and Fire & Ashes Songs for the first time in South America but there will also be older material!
SOURCE – Quais os itens de merchandise vocês trarão para venda na tour?
Philip Restemeier (Guitar) – We will bring a tour shirt! Looks amazing with all the South & North American dates on it! I really feel like a rockstar when I look at that schedule!
SOURCE – Os leitores podem estar estranhando esta entrevista em Português. Nós já conversamos sobre isso, mas você poderia mencionar como aprendeu Português?
Philip Restemeier (Guitar) – Cara, I am really sorry! I tried to answer the questions in Portugues but its been such a long time that I am not really comfortable constructing the sentences and making them say what I want to say takes sooo long. So please forgive me, that I switched to english.
SOURCE – Alguma saudade das coisas do Brasil enquanto você vivia aqui?
Philip Restemeier (Guitar) – I lived with a Brazilian family and I had three host brothers of the same age. We were all around 16-18 years old and simply had a great wild time. This is something that you cannot repeat! But I cherish the memories!
SOURCE – Algo mais a ser acrescentado?
Philip Restemeier (Guitar) – Returning to Brazil are the most special moments for me as a musician! Can’t wait to see you, guys!
